For the Sep 2011 CMR, the Firefly Brigade biked from Greenhills to Quezon City Hall to support the official launching of LBC Ronda Pilipinas - the local cycling tour that aims to promote the sport of cycling and possibly be able to have a Filipino team join the Tour de France.
Last Jan 16, the Firefly Brigade organized the first Critical Mass Ride (CMR) for the year 2011 entitled Long Life, Happy New Year Noodle Critical Mass Ride. Nothing beats a bike out to eat noodles to usher in the New Year!
This month's critical mass ride was special because Firefly Brigade delivered some donated bicycles (via the Miracle Machine/Kraft Project) to the little girls at Girls Home at Boystown Complex in Marikina last 20 Feb. We were delighted by the enthusiasm of the children to ride the bicycles we brought.
